Justin Bateman was told to be boring so Melissa McCarthy could shine. he did and then some. she shined but only to some extent. the story is typical contrived nonsense. the implausbility becomes too rampant so as to be distracting to anyone with half a brain. melissa mccarthy, while talented, is becoming a female version of Jim Carrey--movies are made with them to do their schtick. it becomes tiresome after a while. too bad. i was looking forward to a raucous comedy. i don't think i laughed out loud even once.
