What the hell happened just now? I've seen Melissa McCarthy live, in Bridesmaids, and on TV. She's amazing, just shameless in a Will Ferrell kind of way. This movie never once lets her go. I never laughed out loud once. There's a spot near the end of the movie where she starts putting her dinner on her face. This almost felt like it was put in as an afterthought just to give her a moment to cut loose.
If anything can be an indicator of whether you should see this movie or not is the number of stars it has. This movie has been #1 for a few weeks but it only has 3 stars. It should've had about 4 to 5 stars. Save you money and skip this movie. It's not even close to Bridesmaids.
