This is a great movie! Entertaining and Melissa McCarthy is hilarious. She's got a gift and she really makes this movie laugh out loud funny, to the point the lady in front of me almost snapped her neck whipping her head to look at me for laughing...it's a comedy you crazy nut bag. She'd be better off at Escape from Planet Earth. Jason Bateman was is believable and engaging in this role, he's the movie glue.
And regarding negative reviews, i.e., Rex Reed....
Movies need be relate-able, as the world is made up of all types of people, not just size 2 models. The fact that men have a different set of rules is off putting.They don't have to be good looking to be the leading man and large sizes go apparently un noticed. I'm ready for the day we have a level playing field.
