KEVIN!!!

Home Alone is my all-time favorite Christmas movie for several reasons.
It's more than just a family film about a kid who was accidentally left behind at home when his entire family goes to Paris for Christmas. It's about the main protagonist who is sick of his large family picking on him and saying he's so helpless. When he discovers his family gone the next morning, he is shocked at first but gleefully turns around and has the time of his
life.

But towards the end of the movie he starts to regret what he said to his mother and the rest of the family and wants them back. When Kevin's mom realizes they forgot Kevin, she decides to wait at the airport until the next flight back to Chicago is ready to deport. She however becomes impatient and decides to board a plane to Scranton and than wait for a flight to Chicago.
The flights are all booked and she takes out her frustration on a desk clerk about what she has been through. She reminds him that Christmas is the season of hope and she declares, "If it costs me everything I own, if I have to sell my soul to the devil himself, I am going to get home to my son". Now THAT is determination.

So she meets with John Candy's character and offers her a ride with his group in his van on their way to Milwaukee and they drop her off. Meanwhile Kevin asks Santa that instead of presents he wants his family back, and later Kevin goes inside the same church that he was hiding from Harry and Marv. With the singing choir and the setting, I find it to be a pretty powerful scene.

Home Alone also has many great scenes, funny moments and lines you won't forget.

Above all, it's a terrific film that has more than a few laughs and moral lessons. I highly recommend everyone to have it.
