The best so far!

After waiting and waiting for this installment of the oh-so fabulous Potter series, I can honestly say that I found myself more than satisfied with the outcome. All of the actors have improved infinately in their acting skills and the visuals have followed suit.

As Harry heads back to Hogwarts, he finds himself first at the headquarters of the Order of the Phoenix and forced to appear at a Ministry hearing for underage magic. After getting past this, he and his friends end up in full rebellion against the new Hogwarts authority, Dolores Jane Umbridge, who is in cahoots with the ministry. Later, Potter faces Lord Voldemort once more, and again comes out alive, although someone close to him does not.

Dan Radcliffe's performance as Harry is superb as he finally nails emotions like frustration and fear. Emma Watson and Rupert Grint were equally fantastic.

I went into this movie with several hopes for improvement after watching the previous film and all were fulfilled. As Sirius's head reappears in the Gryfindor common room once again, via floo powder, everyone can agree that actual face in the flames is much more satisfying (and accurate to the book's description) than the talking lava in the last movie.

Unfortunately our hopes for a kinder, warmer Dumbledore fall short once again, however, the excellence of the rest of the cast masks that easily.

My only complaint is that this has been the shortest film, but the longest book-- so naturally, much of the original plot was omitted. If I can give you advice before you buy ticket for this one, I would suggest that you base your opinion on the previous movies, not the books.

If you do, you'll find that this one has been the best so far.
