This movie was beter then the first film because it had a quicker pacing even though its longer. There aren't really scenes where it dragges or makes it boring. The film begings where we left off, Harry is back again with the Dudley's for the summer. Then we get to Dobby the Hose Elf. I kinda hated his charecter here because of what he does. Its just incredibly stupid. Quickly later, the Weasleys come rescue Potter and from there the movie becomes 'brilliant'. Its great to see the kids again. What I don't like about the film is that there is always something mysterious about the jolly Hagrid and what hes doing. There are some great scenes such as when the boys missed the entrance to the train, so they steal the car flying in mid-air while harry almost falls out and land in a tree which trys to kill them. Hogwarts is back and looks better than ever. We auctually see more of it this film. Some of the teachers I didnt like such as the new dark arts teacher who is famous and is a snob. He just lets these creepy pixies out and leaves for the kids defending themselves. Luckily, Hermoine is here to save the day with her smartness. Some scenes however are kinda weird such as Harry transporting into an alley where there are hobos, its just not neessary. Also we get scenes in class which is sometimes pathetic such as a screaming roots which takes awhile to get that annoying and loud yell out of your head. We also get to see Draco's father who is says mean things in a nice way. We see Draco as th new slytherin seeker and somehow ron has to eat slugs. There are these scenes that just doesnt make any sense. What I like about this film is that we feel for the charecter when there sad, mad, happy, or in danger. In the first film, I just believed everything is alright and nothing bad would happen. So I liked the situations more in this film. What I also love about this film is that voldemort speaks through harry's mind. What is kind of dissapointing is that it takes 40 mins for the film to even mention the chamber of secrets. But what is cool is that its wriiten in blood. We get much more lines from Snape and his charecter. In the first film, he barely did anything except look strangely in the camera. We get back to our lovable game, Quidditch. Whever Harry catnes the snitch, something bad always has to happen. This time his arm gets beaten then the porfessor gives him no bones. Sometimes, things that happen are weird. We find out that dpbby, once again an idiot, stoped the bararer to the train and broke harr's hands. God, this elf is pretty stupid in this film. And still all this has only happened in the first hour of the film. There are some silly elements, such as a ghost girl in the bathroom and the script sometimes and Hermoine becoming a cat. There are some powerful scenes such as a duealing match and the acting. Somehow Harry is always at the wrong place, at the wrong time. (Just like my favorite action hero). We also get the first horcrux ever, Tom Riddle's Diary. Its creepy that harry is talking to voldemort without him even knowing. Hagrid looked weird in the past. In the second half of the film, it becomes more intriguing. Everybody starts accusinfg everybody and they want to shut down the school because of the danger, but I didnt feel any danger here really. Except when they go into the dark forest where they meet tons of spiders and a huge one. Its hilarious to see how Ron reacts to this because its his depeest fear. The biggest flop about this movie is that the chamber of secrets is only like part of the second half of the film. Same as the first one. The stone wasnt mentioned until the second half. Its kinda weird that the chamber's location is the girls bathroom, but the entrance is like a slide. It is kinda cool how these movies have the person to be the bad guy that you'd never suspect. There is a monster that os blinded and can still see, which is a cool and intense scene. And Harry stabs it in the head which is just awesome that he would ever do that. There are jst cool moments like that which make this movie incredibly fun. But there are some complaints like how was that small bird able to carry an adult and 3 kids while flying? This movie brings more attention to Voldemore and his past, but its just not enough infromation to process. We also see more of the adorable Ginny, Ron's little sister. She is put in danger but you cant help but feel for her. At the end, we finally see Dobby's good side by protecting Harry, in a good way. These kids relations grow more and more while developing a great intrest in each other. Its very fascinating and fun to watch. All is well by the end of the film, but we do have the Dark Lord in the thoughts flying somewhere. I just told you the main highlights of the film, because I felt it was nessecary. A good film, but it could have been cut by 30 mins and it still would have been the same.
