Better than I had expected! Imaginative twist on the fairy tale and so creative and humorous in its depiction of "every day" life of the period. Loved the weapons centuries before their time -- but who cares? It's a movie!
Gretel is sooo hot, too! The movie may be a tad too bloody . . . the violence perhaps shading into the gratuitous . . . some of those deaths could have been off stage . . . still, that nasty sheriff got what he deserved! But Gretel . . . ! Give her a break, man! She really gets beat up A LOT, but maybe I'm just too sensitive.
Anyway, because of the violence, it's not a movie I'd take a nine year old to but I certainly enjoyed myself . . . 5 stars, man!
