I thoroughly enjoyed the movie. The action / violence was plentiful, but not cruel or brutal. The effects were great, and the acting was much better than most movies of this genre.
Yes, there were some holes in the plot and some of the technology did not match the times. But, this is a popcorn action/fantasy, not an Oscar contending period piece!!! To those who only seem to focus on the films few faults, you should have known what you were going to see in the 1st place! Although not for children, this is a great Saturday afternoon popcorn action flick. I highly reccomend it.
