Absolutely one of the worst "top 10" films ever. The demise of the Confederacy, the demise of slavery, the demise of the plantation economy are treated as awful things. Black people are treated as childish morons. Scarlett is a spoiled b*$&h, Rhett a cynical war speculator, Ashley a borderline pansy, etc. etc. Truly awful. OK, it was made in 1939, but still...don't waste your time. At least the Klan wasn't glorified as in "Birth of a Nation", but everything else about the Confederacy was.
