I just saw Lincoln in the theatre and I felt compelled to watch Gone With The Wind.
I've seen the movie many times but now that I'm a big Civil war buff It really is a joy to watch this movie. I've seen Gods And Generals, Gettysburg, Lincoln, but this movie is absolutly the best . It captures everything about the Civil War, And they don't hold anything back or try to be politically correct. Even with the romances and all it is by far the best Civil war era movie I have ever seen. My Civil War relative was a Yankee officer in the Union Army and was stationed in the deep South in Mississippi and I can only imagine what it was like being in Plantation country with all those Southern bells like Scarlett who hated the dreaded Yankees.
