I got this film from Netflix and I thought it was a decent romantic comedy film. Most of the romantic comedy films now-a-days are just pure crap and suck big time. Sure, this film wasn't the best romantic comedy film I've ever seen but I have to admit that it doesn't suck and it beats the other romantic comedy films I saw. This film is just alright but not like the greatest I've seen. I think a "FAIR" score is good. Not that bad of a film at all. I give "Going The Distance" a B- and 2.5 out of 4 stars. The plot to this movie was well done but did lack some parts. Drew Barrymore also does say a bunch of raunchy jokes in this movie and they all have made me laugh hard. This film also had some very funny and memorable moments that I'll remember seeing and it did make me laugh pretty hard. It was possible for me to NOT laugh at some parts but I just cracked at some of the parts in this movie. The characters are pretty good, and everything else in this film is just decent. So yeah, this is a decent romantic comedy film and while it's not the greatest I've seen, it is decent and it's better than most of the crappy romantic comedy films I've been watching lately. Justin Long, Drew Barrymore, Charlie Day, Jason Sedukis, and Christina Applegate did a fair job acting in this romantic comedy film.
