Gods and Generals(2003)- User Reviews

This is the first in the civil war trilogy and a quite good start. My favorite character of both movies is still Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain although Lang did do a great job. I saw this movie before I REALLY got into the civil war. It's only problem was that it was a bit long for realesing in cinemas. It is quite slow at some points. They also had some not needed stuff in there. Overall this movie is a historical treasure! It is a must see for Civil War buffs and a great way to start if you want to learn more!
