If you are a fan of Serge Gainsbourg and his music you will probably enjoy this movie. The story is a bit hard to follow, especially for non-French speaking viewers, as it mixes reality and fantasy up a bit. If you have ever read any of the English language biographies on Gainsbourg then the story will be much easier to follow. If not, just enjoy the visuals and the music. The actor playing Serge Gainsbourg had his mannerisms down to the letter.
