Since most people on here try to be critics ( yes including me ) here's my likes and dislikes about the new Friday The 13th movie
Likes
1. The actor that played Jason Voorheese ( Derek Mears ) was big,bad and definitly walked in the large shoes of many that have played him. He's mostly a silent ( but deadly ) killer so the actor playing him had to move, walk and even stand like a bad a** - and he ( Mears ) definitly did.
2. For the scenes that had bloodshed they were good - now of course i'm one of those horror movie fans that LOVE to see blood and even though this one didnt had enough the kills were gruesome.
3.The Updated mask was BAD A** - The mask definitly made the actor playing him look fearce.
The Bad
1. The movie didnt have enough backround explination - i wish they would of given more of a backstory to the ledgend especially for those who know the movie's history but arent that quite familiar....
2. It Skipped past what made the movie awesome - the whole thing tha made Jason so cool was seeing his mom so crazy - which like i said above showed a little of why he was so crazy... the movie started from his mom's beheading then quickly roled into a two part story ( one of the girl missing and the secont of his brother finding him )
3. The plot was a little dry - for a Friday the 13th movie it had very little blood, a weak story and basically a kidnapping story. That was a little off - the characters usual manorisms.
This is why i suggest renting it once then make your own mind about the movie. me personall i'd still stick to the ORIGINAL 3 friday movies ( the rest of the originals 4-10 got bland too )- which is why i gave it an overall D+
