Hayek deserves an oscar-nomination. Taymor's direction was innovative and unusual, Molina's portral of a egotisical womanizing bandit was outstanding. This movie is worth the money.more»3 of 3 people found this review helpful-

Beautifully acted, exquesitely directed, and a film that proves how films should be made. Salma Hakey is stunning, she gives the performance of her life. Julie Taymor, once again, enchants us with her tour-de force direction. The way Frida's painting …more»7 of 9 people found this review helpful-

I never liked the work of Frida Kahlo until I watched this film. Liking her work is not the factor - it's understanding it. Her work and life are brought to life in this film that is most certainly the best film of 2002 (movie year.) Colorful, …more»8 of 9 people found this review helpful-

To this is added another of the many possible features of our …more»0 of 0 people found this review helpful
