I have to say that I was really excited when this movie first came out. I wanted to go and see it at the theaters really bad but couldn't due to working many hours. Last night I decided to buy it by pure trust alone, that it was going to be good and maybe even better than the original! How horribly wrong was I with my trust!!! Hell, even the bad guy's acting sucked! Everyone just looked so damn bored in it, like the only reason they even agreed in being in this movie was because they were desperate for milk money or something! I have never seen a movie so dry as this one. And comparing it to the original, well, LOL there really is no comparison! The original had comedy, drama, spark, excitement, was spontaneous, and had action! This one was dry, homely, tasteless, and just downright sucked! And I could tell thast Dennis Quaid really did not even want to be oin this movie. You could tell it in his face that he had second thoughts about it. When I saw the trailer to it and it showed the actual wreck, I was drawn to this movie. I was like, "Oh yeah, this one is going to have what the original didn't!!" But I was wrong! The original Footloose was awesome and had pizazz and had wonderful songs! Even the songs in this movie was redone by different artists, anf threy sucked! Now I feel that I have to contact Kevin Bacon and John Lithgow and ask them to please forgive me for watching this #$%$ remake of their awesome masterpiece! And I cannot believe that they had a Black guy playing the part of Woody!! That was just so lame and just downright stupid! First of all, in a country hick town (I know, because I was raised in a country hick town), there would be asbsolutely No Black guy living there named Woody. Even if there was a Black guy there, let alone him being named Woody, he'd of done been hung or tarred and feathered! I am not being racist here, but that is just the absolute truth! Summing up, once again, this movie just plain sucked! I'd rather sit back and watch reruns of The A Team rather than this tasteless junk waste of film. But I will say this, the girl that played Ariel; Her acting might suck and that is bad, but i bet her mouth sucks too, and that wouyld feel good!! She could "wrap those skinny legs" around me anyday! I bet she is just damn hottt and good in the bed! But that is all she is good at I bet! She just needs to stick to sucking #$%$ and being bent over in front of a pack of guys and leave the acting to professionals!
