Europe, 1363. A family manages to survive the Black Death that has ravaged the continent and leaves their home in search of better living conditions. While traversing a mountain pass, the family is attacked, and only 19-year-old Signe survives. She is taken captive by the gang and brought to their camp where she quickly learns that the fate awaiting her is worse than death. She must escape or die.
