First we are asked to believe that all the random and scheduled drug testing that every airline pilot accepts as part of the job would not catch a lifelong alcohol and cocaine addiction. Then we are asked to accept countless mistakes in aircraft aerodynamics and systems, most of which are not necessary to the plot line (yes, I am a professional pilot, but I will grant expediency to movie makers when necessary). All in the service of an over long and depressing apologia for an addictive and self-destructive personality.
