Denzel gives an Oscar-winning performance, in my humble opinion. This movie was so real, it was painful to watch. I am the spouse of an alcoholic and I squirmed in my seat the whole time. This is a true to life depiction of someone who has crossed the line from abuse to addiction: denial, lies, coverup, and finally, the consequences of it all. The line about feeling free, I knew he was going to say it before he actually did. All addicts should see this movie. It may change your life!
