This movie should win the academy award for best picture and Denzel should win for best actor. John Goodman should win for best supporting actor. They will not and that is because the movie industry is pressured by the airline industry, both airline owners and manufactures, not to provide more visibility to airplanes with mechanical problems. They also do not want to be recognized that pilots drink and sometimes have flown planes under the influence of alcohol and drugs.
This movie is at the heart of what alcohol addiction is all about, the addiction, lying, cheating, and manipulation caused by the disease.
