You sir, or Maam are wrong, The story was incrediable, as well as good acting, just because you did not like it does not mean that you have the right to speak in such reckless disregard, i bought this movie last week and just watched it tonight, even though i am not married it showed me some very valid points to be put into any relationship, i would respectfuly ask that from here out, please keep your Negativity to yourself, as there is enough of that is this world with out you adding to it, kirk cameron is one of the GREATEST acters there is, and the message drove home a lot of things i have never thought about, i had the bible drilled ito my head a a child growing up in the the home of a baptist preacher, you should really seek christ and ask him into your heart, i shall pray for you

Forget the religion...Jewish people do not believe that they should be kind to their spouse? I think that this may have applied more than you think.

Sometimes an Oscar performance is just not necessary to get accross an important message. And the message alone gets and A+ Thank you God

The reason you felt like they were beating you over the head was because the mention of it makes people who are not christian nervous. I am no bible thumper, but the idea is that we should do things for each other and not expect anything in return. By living this way we can be an example to others (ie. spouse) and if you remember at the end the wife read the book and came to the same understanding. This is why they renewed their vows at the cross. I love seeing my husband happy when I do something for him that he does not expect. Likewise, he does kind things for me because he likes seeing me happy. How can you lose with this attitude? It makes for a "cheesy" but very happy existance! I hope the same for you! God Bless!
