This low budget crime thriller was not given a chance for distribution. It was shelved for a few years and went straight to DVD in 2002. The editing went through the chop shop which left little room for the intros of the characters and their interaction with each other, and better development of a storyline. Because of this, scenes that were deleted would had made the movie feel more complete. However, Stallone's performance was absorbing. If you are a Stallone fan, you will like this film. The first 20 minutes of the film is filled with good acting and bloody excitement. It will mellow out for awhile, but then will pick up between the 7th and 9th scenes. Stallone can actually make you feel the love his character has for his girlfriend and the extreme pain he goes through when she is murdered. Although you cannot compare Stallone's acting with his masterful "Rocky", this is still one of his better acting performances. There were some bland performances from a few actors, and there could had been better direction from the director in various scenes, but overall, he did fairly well. Visuals were confined. If there is a director's cut version of this movie, it would probably be worth viewing. The music in this movie is touching and climatic with a good soundtrack at the end. If you are planning to purchase this DVD, your DVD player may receive a disk error code which will be due to the region limits that was placed on the DVD; you will not be able to view the movie which will be a shame. If you can't view on DVD, then view online as the movie is worth watching.
