So in other words, every movie tries to profit off of tragic historic events? Every Vietnam war movie, ww2, ww1 film, quest for fire somehow profited off of the hard lives lived by pre-historic man? Did Gladiator profit off of the plight of Roman slaves? Give me a break!!!!!

You thought was going to be an action film and your review turned out to be a political screed, how sad.
Also, you should see a movie, before you review it.

That is the most idiotic view of a movie I have ever heard. Relax on the conspiracy theory. Tom Hanks is a man who takes part in many movies and projects that show terrible events in history, there is nothing wrong with that and if you are so against them making any money then don't go see it. You sound like a conspiracy theorist not a critic.

I would not want to meet you or your "fiancee." Guess this movie was too intellectual for you. Why don't you do everyone a favor and stay home and rent "Twilight."

I saw this movie with my teenage daughters last week-end. It is quite sad. It's almost as depressing as My Sister's Keeper. But the acting, directing, and cinematography are all quite good. On a scale of 1 to 10, I'd give it a 7.

Wonderful movie. Thomas Horn should have been nominated also for an award. Man, that kid can act. It is a thinker movie, not something for laughing. This is a great view from that of the victims families. Go see it.!

This was an absolutely amazing story of love, grief, loss, and the journey to acceptance and moving on. Probably the most moving and "real" stories of the pain of the reality of life I've ever seen. I don't understand people who have commented that they didn't like this movie. Clearly they're the type of people who aren't ready for anything other than shallow entertainment.

This was a wonderful movie with depth and substance. It is not for everyone, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Terrific acting.
