Wow...go and see this one. What a sweet film. As a older, widowed mom, I could understand De Niro's character's life and pain. This movie reminded me of an onion...the director kept peeling away at the lives of all. Such a satisfying film...so …more»1 of 1 people found this review helpful-

This movie is one of the best I've seen in a long time. The acting is fabulous and the story is one that anyone with adult children can relate to in an almost painfully sentimental way.
It was beautifully done. This was perfect for Christmas as it …more»1 of 1 people found this review helpful-

Viewer beware...The movie is not a comedy! Going into the movie knowing that will make your experience more enjoyable. I agree with another online reviewer, half way through, I wanted to walk out. That has happened twice in 40 years of watching movies!
