this was such a great movie, i was 13 and me and my sister went to see it with our brother not knowing what to expect. we were mesmerized,a unusual different movie with an unusual alien named ET! this movie made the now famous candy reeses pieces very popular after that,"ET PHONE HOME" was something everyone recited! A wonderful classic,my kids really enjoyed it,its a movie that every generation needs to see,full of laughter,and heartache,couldnt help but to fall in love with ET! i remember for several years after everything was about ET,halloween costumes,reeses pieces,and anything with ET on it!We enjoyed it so much when i first saw it in the theatre,we went again the next day and took our mom,she was very skeptical but after seeing it she really enjoyed it,even shed a few tears,as of matter of fact we saw it 3 times in one weekend when it first came out, i still own it today,will always be a classic.
