it made "Colors" look like a Willy Wonka movie - the funeral scene was badass - even as an actor, I'd bet it was emotionally difficult for Gyllenhaal (my spelling). The Hispanic gangsters portrayal was somewhat over the top, but all in all - that IS what L.A. is, gritty & mean. The bright spots & oasis's of the city were given a back seat for personal relationships in this film. I recommend this movie -
