If you liked the charm of the Power of one, the spirit of the Shawshank redemption, or the epic war tale of Gone with the wind, then I recommend you watch Empire of the sun.
A film about a boys unwavering spirit through a horrific war.
I was overwhelmed by Christian Bale’s performance as Jim. He owns the film with such moving and sincere acting, the likes of which I have never seen from someone so young.
A treasure, and for me a classic.
