Elizabeth: The Golden Age is one of the slowest paced movies ever. Molasses moves faster. The only scene with any life is the sea battle and it has slow motion throughout. Pauses abound. There's just not much of a story here. It's all showy costumes,lighting with Elizabeth, Walter, and the other pretty people posing in self adoration. It could easily be condensed to an almost watchable half an hour.
