I really liked this movie. And since I am a history buff, it fits my taste perfectly. Acting is supurb, scenery also. The story does lag somewhat here and there, but not enough to dislike it. Cate Blanchett does a great job once again as Queen Elizabeth. …more»0 of 0 people found this review helpful-

Elizabeth: The Golden Age is one of the slowest paced movies ever. Molasses moves faster. The only scene with any life is the sea battle and it has slow motion throughout. Pauses abound. There's just not much of a story here. It's all showy costumes, lighting …more»0 of 0 people found this review helpful-

It wasn't very slow at any points... I mean, she pissed me off a few times, but that's not the movie's fault.
Anyway, I highly recommend it!more»0 of 0 people found this review helpful-

Its essentially commendable, it misses the momentum of its predecessor. This sequel tells a romance with something that could've been a tragedy but resulted as a triumph. 'Blanchett' remains as a sensation.more»0 of 0 people found this review helpful-

I don't know if this movie was historically accurate but it was a good movie just the same. I never listen to movie critics, I always check them out for myself. This movie gives you an idea of how life was in that era.more»0 of 0 people found this review helpful-

Elizabeth: The Golden Age, despite another great performance from Cate Blanchett as Queen Elizabeth, is quite disappointing. The film doesn't really get going until the part where they kill Queen Mary of the Scots, which is towards the middle. Also, …more»0 of 1 people found this review helpful
