Dear Julia Roberts appears old and worn (She is 42 and looks 58.), yet man after man falls madly in love with her. No explanation. The attraction is certainly not her sparkling personality nor her reptilian looks. She is self-centered and spoiled, promiscuous and nasty. She seeks some spiritual fulfillment as she jumps from man to man, and alas, discovers some esoteric Hinduism which makes all her bad behavior okay. Isn't that nice? I was particularly offended by the portion of the story set in Rome. I have spent weeks in Rome, and the Rome portrayed in the movie is not the Rome I know. The rest was an overlong travel show through India and Bali, usually done much better by Samantha Brown. The primary question for an average male viewer is: "When is this clunker going to end?"
