I lived in Minnesota for several years as a transplant. We lived in my ex husbands small farming home town. I saw this movie after living there for a few years and I laughed from the start to the end. This movie portrays small town Minnesota so well. If I had not lived it myself I would never believe that people are like that. But rest assured they are just like the people in this movie.The writers,actors and directors really captured life in small town Minnesota! I can watch this movie a hundred times and still find something that makes me laugh at the "pod people" (thats what they are like)and be thankful that I do not have to live in that kind of town ever again!
