I dont usually watch these type of movies, because i personally think they are boring. But this one, i was kind of "forced" to watch is a wonderful film. Jennifer Hudson especially brought life to the film.

While I've never seen the original Dreamgirls, I found this one to be very entertaining, not to mention the excellent singing.

This is a perfect example of throwing away an Oscar with both hands. Mr. Murphy may never see this review and I am not in his inner to give him advice. Outside of the movie having a dull storyline with never-ending scenes where actors sing their banal lines, and in many cases repeating the same lines over and over, this movie had Danny Glover in it.

Based on the buzz I looked forward to the opening of Dreamgirls. About 30 minutes into it I looked forward to its end. The story line covers about a 15-year arc of the characters. Unfortunately the movie felt that long.
