This is a terrific movie, considering it was made in 1931, and another amazing thing is that a vampire film can be made with no nudity, and only one depiction of blood. Bela Lugosi gave it his all and provided an excellent performance as Count Dracula, …more»0 of 0 people found this review helpful-

This 1931 release wasn't the first movie based on Bram Stoker's novel but it is certainly the best remembered. The plot is probably know to most everyone; Dracula arriving in England, seducing young Lucy Weston and turning her into a vampire and …more»0 of 0 people found this review helpful-

Honestly, I liked this movie because it is a stylish medieval horror classic, and Bela Lugosi put on a stunning performance as Count Dracula.
Dracula was not as good as Frankenstein, but Dracula has definitely gained respect and honor through the modern …more»0 of 0 people found this review helpful-

You can't get better than the classic Dracula as the upperclass nobleman, gentleman if you will. The symbolism in this movie best reflects Stoker's intent, versus the now more common sexual obviousness that was not allowed in main stream literature …more»0 of 0 people found this review helpful-

I thought this was pretty good. It has the classic look of an old monster movie, but some parts were a little boring. Bela Lugosi did an awesome job as Dracula! I like Renfield's dialogue about the millions of rats. If you classic horror, you'll …more»0 of 0 people found this review helpful-

Almost my very first movie that featured an outstanding seduction scene. The animalistic emotions pushing through to the surface, becoming 3-Dimensional, are nowhere better personified than in the countenance of the Count, Dracula, as his lips pull back …more»0 of 0 people found this review helpful-

"Come Children of the night."
This is one of the few horror films that has withstood time, The original Frankenstein was made to look almost bad, and even The Shining has had some trouble and its one twenty-five years old. But Dracula is still …more»5 of 5 people found this review helpful-

Bela Lugosi is positively unforgettable as the Transylvanian vampire count, DRACULA, in the 1931 picture by that name. Based on the ridiculously famous Bram Stoker novel (which has greater name recognition than the President of the United States), the …more»6 of 7 people found this review helpful-

this film is a great classic. If you get the collectors edition, it has scary music. Bela Legosi is perfect , and so is Dwight Fry as Runfield. Some parts are funny. Dracula is one of the most scariest tales of all time!more»11 of 16 people found this review helpful
