I had never read the book and heard the controversy surrounding the movie being left-wing, hollywood propoganda. We check the book out from the library the night before. The movie stayed true to the book. People who think this is liberal hollywood …more»4 of 5 people found this review helpful-

First, let me start off by saying that this IS a good movie. Good songs, good plot, and unbelievable animation. But, like all good movies, it shares its fair amount of flaws. For starter, "thneed." Just... "thneed." This is the mildest …more»1 of 2 people found this review helpful-

the lorax was amazing!!! Much better than Despicable me horton hears a who the grinch or virtually any other universal film. The only loss was the annoying Once-ler but he kinda adds effect. As I sat there, I felt like I was in the middle of a left wing environmentalist propaganda infomercial. I would have walked out, except for the fact that I brought two 9 year olds girls who were somewhat enjoying the brainwashing.
The Lorax, a God-like …more»8 of 26 people found this review helpful-

Warning - Spoiler Alert!
Setting aside the visual candy that characterizes animated features today, the plot of this movie is what you'd expect from Hollywood in a movie centered around trees and nature. Business...bad, nature...good, corporations …more»10 of 19 people found this review helpful-

Never mind the political environmental message, which by the way, was poorly done; the story, characters and art graphics were sub standard. The movie got a lot of hype from Hollywood and earned a lot of money because it had a "green" message. …more»3 of 5 people found this review helpful-

Not sure what it was about this movie, but I found it fairly mundane. It was not up to par with most of the other recent animated releases. Predictable as it was, the story had a good moral to it. My favorite part of the movie was viewing the Dr. Suess …more»0 of 1 people found this review helpful
