This movie was pathetically ridiculous. The daughter, though a cutie pie, showed remarkable naivete and bravado at the same time - with a heaping helpin of lack of common sense! What child besides the genetically STOOPID kind is going to satisfy a mornid curiosity to the point of taking tool into a dark, dank - #$%$d cellar to unscrew the hinges off a door behind which she hears the voices of imps calling her name? She spent half the movie chasing the d things so hard I had a hard time feeling sorry for her in the least bit. Then there's dumbo the dad - a sorrier excuse for a man as I've ever seen in a horror flick. He's absolutely clueless - as well as spineless. He passes on so much evidence it's comical. But then hey, his world revolves around getting the cover of Gothic Castle magazine so basically the sky could be falling around him and he couldn't care less - OR notice. And when his gf gets yanked down the chute of the holeway to Hell, does he bother going after her? No it's too far down there! Does he bother sending anyone after her? No, hes too busy lamenting the idea that's he's going to have to put the house up on the market now! Absolutely pitiful.The only one worth of saving was the gf and look where that virtue got her. A very sad flick indeed!
