Synopsis

The large-format film takes viewers under the water's surface for a romp with several types of dolphins: acrobatic duskies, the inquisitive spotted dolphins, and the bottlenose... made famous by TV's "Flipper". Studying and filming these elusive, fast-moving animals in the ocean environment proved a difficult task for Dr. Kathleen Dudzinski and two of her colleagues, as they research the communication of wild dolphins using innovative methods and technology. From rarely seen fish-herding techniques to a close-up look at complex communication behaviors, "Dolphins" gives audiences a new perspective on the lives of these fascinating mammals.
