Yes, the violence was unnecessary and the blood scene where cartoonish but that's not all the movie was about. The acting was wonderful especially Jamie, Leonardo, and Kerry ...awesome really! This movie was not at all what I expected; it was much much more! Besides the ridiculous violence and blood scenes, the only other negative about this movie is that it is typical Tarantino! Like Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill. Those movies where Ok for what they were for but Django totally #$%$ away! Kudos to Tarantino!
