I was trying to get into it. I like a lot of Q.T. films, but the realism of the time period mixed with the ridiculous drama just did not hit home for me-not to mention that the movie was way too long and I should have stopped much sooner. I can't believe it was nominated for some globes. I get the appeal, don't get me wrong, just not all the hoopla! The main female character was pictured as just a damsel in distress saved with tons of blood to get the point across. I just think with a few changes it could have been great, but I think they were going for a ridiculous "blazing saddles" type of farce with lots of blood. I just couldn't get into it-I was happy it was over. Maybe if it wasn't being deemed this "amazing" movie I wouldn't have been so shocked at how bad it was.
BTW-the best part of the movie was killed and when that happened the movie should have wrapped up!
