Too much gushy love always ruins good acting

This is a romance movie yet they tried adding a little action mysteryosness and could've worked out if they didn't go into a skip reality and go into love. Lets just forget the fact that Lucille had a good life going. This movie went too much into fantasy in a real life surrounding and I'm not talking about Johnny Destiny, Quentin Tarantino. The only people that kept it interesting was Julian's superstitious partner, Harry, and Julian's Dad. These two were actually seeing everything for real and not that if one would love someone they would be saved. They did keet this movie interesting with Destiny, whose acting was great.
Now, Jim Belushi is a very good acor and usally funny but this movie just wasn't his best with the ball scratching and losing his Lucille like a snap and not giving a care. Destiny did find a finish for his part but he made it too wierd.
The ending was a good end but it did not save this poorly assembled but some what good acted movie.
