Defiance(2008)- User Reviews

This looked pretty good in the previews, but despite it's length, it never really seemed like the movie got much into the characters. Obviously the story compels empathy for the Jews and their treatment at both the Germans and their "comrades in arms", the Soviets, but to me, there just wasn't that one moment in the movie that made it stand out for me. A couple squads of soldiers and one tank do not a division make in a battle and so I just didn't feel like there was a true moment where the Jews would really be undone and so for me, this movie's just alright.
