Dead Man Down- User Reviews

I went to the late night showing excited because the trailer looked excellent. Colin Farrel is a man seeking revenge for the death of his family. He infiltrates a drug gang led by Terrence Howard to gain their trust. The opening scene there is a well shot action scene with two rival gangs. Colin's character Viktor is new to the gang and proves his worth. Colin is lonely until he meets Noomi Rapace. Their apartments were across from one another, and would often just stare at each other. Her character has facial scars from an auto accident, and also seeks revenge on the drunk driver who struck her. The plot here reminds me of a Hitchcock film, because she has seen him kill from her apartment window. With this knowledge she wants him to kill for her, or she will go to the police.

This film was an honest attempt in suspense. I would say this is a bargain matinee movie- meaning I would not pay full price. What struck me as odd was Noomi's character was a former beautician. Why couldn't she hide those terrible facial scars with makeup? I did feel pity for her because the neighborhood kids called her a "Monster" Nice job by Dominic Cooper who is part of Howard's drug gang.If you can, watch Cooper in a film called The Devil's Double.
