The special effects was not at all good. There a lot illusion to the human condition. If you take away the alien parts...you see a typical family struggling through FINANCIAL HARDSHIP. For example, a family living in a house they obvious cannot afford with one sure income, new this and that and etc...The aliens are the debt collectors and/or the surrounding community....A basic high school English literature analysis would give me head aches...However, add the alien feature you see this story line matches the many such alien stories...It is escapism at its best....A lot of old people seemed to be in the theater and favor the movie...The targeted audience did not like it....
