I saw the film this weekend, and though I was a fan of Dark Shadows, and I am a fan of Johnny Depp and Michelle Pfieffer, the movie fell a little flat for me. Tim Burton said he didn't want to make the movie "campy". Well, if it had been a little MORE "campy" it would have been great. The best parts of the movie were the scenes that kind of made fun of or satirized the original show. It was a little long, so the seriousness made it less fun for me. Go see it if you're a fan, but do like I did...go to the matinee, it will save you $$$.
