- Should be rated R.. I watched this with my family and there are so much inuendos it was just embarrasing.
-Not funny.. The only funny parts are in the trailer

This was a little campy and there were no elements of surprise. Of course I knew that going in since it was a Tim Burton film. Would love to see a serious one. Couldn't find Jonathan Frid. Johnny Depp showed his comedic side though so I guess that's …more»0 of 0 people found this review helpful-

In the middle of the 1960s, the television company ABC acquired an import of a British television series entitled 'Dark Shadows', which ran until 1971. Now, nearly 40 years later, director Tim Burton brings the TV series to the big screen in …more»2 of 3 people found this review helpful-

After reading some of the negative reviews this movie evoked, I was prepared to be disappointed. Though I'm old enough to remember the original 60's soap opera that has a cult following, I wasn't enough of a fan to be a purist. If you are …more»0 of 0 people found this review helpful-

Okay, I think we can all agree this is just one of those films you'll either love or hate, no in between. I was ambivalent about going to see it because I remember having the kajeebees scared outta me as a kid with the series. So, I resolved to …more»2 of 3 people found this review helpful-

I loved the movie- lavish sets, great special effects, gorgeous actresses! But ultimately, it was Johnny's movie. He gave his Barnabus Collins a Voice and language (much like Shakespeare) that worked so well. There will definitely be a sequel, and …more»2 of 3 people found this review helpful-

I've seen better TV Shows than this $100m dollar movie. Let me explain my point of view....
First the good - loved the sets and a certain red dress.
Now the bad - the rest of the movie.
The direction for this movie showed no flair, no excitement, …more»2 of 4 people found this review helpful-

I thought it was a really good movie. I am also a fan of the original series. Johnny Depp played a really good Barnabas Collins. He almost looked like the original Barnabas Collins in the series, except he had lighter skin and black make-up around the …more»0 of 0 people found this review helpful
