I really fell in love with the characters in this movie. I am baffled as to why people are saying they didn't like Kenny. He grew up in an awful environment, yet he was a guy that was going to do the right thing no matter what and had a fun loving personality. He loved his daughter and stood up for her against that bar jerk - I bet most of the people who are dissing Kenny wouldn't have the nads to do what he did in that situation. He also enjoyed life despite his somewhat tormented soul. He spoke his mind and he didn't care who he was speaking up to - he wasn't going to let anyone walk all over him - I admire that - more power to him. Oh - and the criticism about him throwing "temper tantrums" - how about you go to prison for 18 years and then see how your mood is - geez people, have a little compassion. And how can you not admire Betty Anne? Becomes a lawyer just to get her brother out of prison? How can you not admire that? And people here saying she wasted her life obsessing on that? Good Lord! This was someones life! Glad I'm not your brother!!! And the dufus here that said he's not sure if Kenny is innocent or not? Hello! Do you not understand what DNA is? He was 100% innocent you idiot. And the poeple here saying they didn't like them because they broke into other people's houses? DID YOU NOT GET IT? DID YOU NOT UNDERSTAND THEY JUST WANTED AN ESCAPE AND EVEN FOR A MOMENT FEEL LIKE THEY WERE IN A NORMAL HOUSE? GOOD GRIEF WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE!!! Anyway, great movie and inspiring story about extraordinary people.
