Pablo Echarri

Argentine screen idol Pablo Echarri debuted in the mid- to late '90s with several features produced in his native country, such as El Desvio (1997), Héroes y Demonios, and Alma Mía (1999). Echarri garnered worldwide attention from the early 2000s onward, first with the twisty #92;psychological thriller You Should Not Be Here (2002) -- as an Internet surfer unwittingly enmeshed in a madman's deadly trap -- then with Marcelo Piñyero's The Method (2005), a #92;psychodrama about the backstabbing and manipulation that transpire within the boardrooms of a corporation. The following year, Echarri lent a supporting role to director Israel Adrián Caetano's #92;period #92;thriller Crónica de una Fuga, the true story of four men who escaped from the jaws of death by breaking out of a penitentiary just prior to execution. ~ Nathan Southern, All Movie Guide
