Michael Robbins


Veteran English character actor of film and TV who specialized in portraying London working class characters. Robbins appeared in several popular English sitcoms, most notably "On the Buses" (1970-75), and worked as a straight man to comedians Dick Emery and Tommy Cooper. His feature credits include "Till Death Do Us Part" (1969), "The Looking Glass War" (1970), "The Pink Panther Strikes Again" (1976), "The Great Muppet Caper" (1981) and "Victor/Victoria" (1982). Robbins also appeared in the CBS TV movie "Lost in London" (1985), "Rumpole's Last Case" (1988) on the PBS "Mystery!" series, and "Adam Bede" (1992) on "Masterpiece Theater".
