Carl Wright

Born in Orlando, FL, in 1932, Carl Wright began his show-business career as a tap dancer, touring the globe with various troupes. Wright also had careers as a songwriter and musician before beginning a movie career at age 65 in 1997's Soul Food. Wright had tremendous acting ability and an undeniable charisma onscreen, and he followed Soul Food's success with roles in Barbershop and Big Momma's House.
