This stauesque red-haired actress is best known as Nikki, the hyper-efficient office accountant with a chaotic personal life, on the ABC sitcom "Spin City" (1996- ). Connie Britton studied Chinese in college and was trained by acting guru Sanford Meisner at the Neighborhood Playhouse. She won her role in the Michael J Fox-starrer after appearing as Molly, the wife of the philandering husband, in Edward Burns' independent hit "The Brothers McMullen" (1995). Britton also won notice as Heather, the all-too-perfect sister of Joely Fisher's Paige on a 1995 episode of "Ellen". The actress has also been featured in support of Andrew McCarthy and Paul Sorvino in "Escape Clause", a 1996 murder mystery made for Showtime. In 1998, she reunited with Burns in a featured role as Lauren Holly's sister in his third directorial effort, "No Looking Back".
