Bodhi Elfman

After nearly a decade of steadily working as a supporting player in film and television, Bodhi Elfman finally came into his own in 2000 when he was cast in UPN's high-tech, futuristic drama "Freedom". For the son of director Richard Elfman, nephew of composer Danny Elfman and husband of sitcom darling Jenna Elfman, the road to success was not as smooth as one may think. The devout Scientologist paid his dues playing bit parts in TV-movies and films like "Doing Time on Maple Drive" and "Sneakers" (both 1992) as well as "A Very Brady Sequel" (1996) and "Armageddon" (1998). He did get a couple of jobs through family connections, however. He appeared on a 1997 episode of wife Jenna's hit ABC sitcom "Dharma & Greg" and had a small, funny role as the scene-stealing Casanova in her first big-screen romantic comedy "Keeping the Faith" (2000). His dad, who co-founded the rock group Oingo Boingo, also cast him in the 1994 horror comedy "Shrunken Heads".

Before playing a member of a relentless band of guerillas determined to take America back from the dictator who rules it in "Freedom", Elfman had a small role in the Nicolas Cage actioner "Gone in 60 Seconds" and starred opposite Julie Delpy and Emilio Estevez in the feature film "Sand" (both 2000).
